Home-Based Kumon
Each 1-on-1 virtual session includes addressing homework questions, introducing new concepts, or reviewing previous topics. It's appreciated if families can send a picture of completed homework for analysis to their Kumon teacher. This allows our teaching team to review and analyze the work to help plan future sessions and update the child's study plan.
How do virtual sessions work?
Before 1-on-1, feel free to let the staff know your preferences for lesson time, duration, and number of lessons. They will try to accommodate your preferences if time slots are available.
Before the session
Have a fully-charged electronic device with access to Zoom ready for the session
Have the student's Kumon work, spare paper, and pencils ready
Send through a picture of the student's latest completed HW to their Kumon teacher
During the session:
We will address any questions the student may have about their homework
Introduce a new concept or conduct a spot test to review previous topics
Encourage the student to complete their scheduled homework before ending the call
After the session
When the student is running low on HW, notify our teaching team and they will organise their new HW to picked up from the centre when it's ready.
Overall, our virtual sessions aim to provide personalized learning support, reinforce concepts, and ensure progress in the Kumon program delivered online.
